Watching UK or US tv abroad on the internet using an identity cloaker

I’m not an avid TV watcher although i do like my political shows and news updates from the UK which are things I am currently struggling to get hold of except via the internet radio channels. But as I have also been asked by several people how do they watch UK TV I started to do a bit of research into it. The first method is using an Identity cloaker the one in the banner above actually does work and I know Expats here in the Philippines using it on a regular basis. What it does is make your computer look like its in whichever country you choose to watch your TV from, for example it will give you an IP address for the UK so that the BBC iplayer thinks your actually in the UK. This in turn allows you to see the BBC TV shows as they are FREE within the UK but it works with other countries as well. Currently the countries covered are :-

  • Canada
  • Netherlands
  • France
  • Germany
  • Sweden
  • United Kingdom
  • United States

Now your probably thinking what is the catch? well its just under seven Euros a month which I think is a fair price for the entertainment on offer that you will struggle to get elsewhere and its also the cheapest method except downloading free torrents that don’t always give you the shows you want to watch. So personally I think its a great way to go on getting the TV you want when you want it and a price worth paying especially if you rig it up for something like a bar as you could set it up for the nationality of the customers.

still costs $10 a month though.. the advantage with the other software though is you can hide your ip as well as view shows in Australia, US or several other countries.
