"Bonus yung pagkapanalo," he said. "Hindi namin hinihingi pero binigay."

Team captain Kae Madrigal, a graduating education senior, called their routine "perfect."

"Iba yung dating," co-skipper Laurence Bautista also told Yahoo! College Hoops. "Clean pero sobrang challenging ng level of difficulty so we got the edge."

Head judge Ai Hasegawa of the International Federation of Cheerleading praised UP’s amazing performance.

"They were very good," the Japanese representative said. "Their stunts were difficult but were very stable."

The prize money for the event may not be the reason why so many people compete but was definitily a good incentive with the winners taking home P340,000 second place P200,000 and third place 140,000 all from Samsung.
