I’m not usually disappointed with visiting places as long as I have my camera. But visiting what is Tubod Flowing Waters Resorts Bird Sanctuary managed to be somewhat disappointing at best. The birds are all caged in separate cages and there was less than 20 birds in total. A snake, 2 scavenger animals similar to a western fox (Sorry don’t know the name). As well as a caged hamster. The only real wild life that seemed to roam freely was a rat that appeared from the plants. It is more of a private collection than a sanctuary even by definition is completely against the whole meaning of sanctuary. As a sanctuary by definition is for the protection and well-being of the animals first not for profit. Last year it was a “butterfly Sanctuary” well the butterflies are still there in the reception pinned inside frames. The entrance fee is P50 each and with the trek up there unless your really bored and already stopping at the resort I would give it a miss.
