Truck heading up from south Cebu

Philippines truck

You will often come across vehicles that appear overloaded but then passengers will climb on the top of everything on the truck as well to hitch for a free ride. The Philippines does have some cheap ways to get round but some are high risk in my opinion with many low power lines. I remember reading last year about an explosion at a Sari-Sari store. What happened was a truck with LPG tanks had hit electric cables that shorted out on a tank causing the entire truck to explode. Would be good to see fruit heading up this way mind from the plantations further south and on neighbouring islands. Took us around 5 hours from Negros to Minglanilla and I am sure a truck would travel a lot faster than we could on the motorbike due to the 125cc limitations of the engine.

The word “overloaded” doesn’t seem to mean anything at a guess.
