Philippines land titles and tax declarations what is the difference

Land titles and tax declarations are different based on a titled piece of land actually states full ownership of a piece of land. While a tax declaration is normally used for land that forms part of a much larger title. For example, if you had a family that split up several rice fields and they had 20 houses built on it. If nobody paid for the “title” to split those 20 pieces of land up they would still rely on the tax declaration to say they had paid the tax on that land for so many years. The title for the land is the combined document. You can separate the lots but it’s often expensive and you may find being a foreigner that people will sit back in the hope you will pay for all of the costs.
