A typical Philippines Taxi, white are general use. Airport taxi’s are yellow and slightly more expensive but your less likely to need to barter with a driver. Be aware there are many illegal taxi’s operating in the Philippines although have never had any bad experience’s in a Cebu taxi myself. Worst case has been arguing over the fare for 20 minutes with a driver who wanted to go off the meter. By law you should pay what is on the meter not what the driver wants. Firstly because if your stopped you and the driver are breaking the law. Secondly because the use of the vehicle isn’t being logged as a passenger. The owner of the vehicle may be out of pocket as well as the tax not collected with the driver pocketing the fare.
