My experience of running a property rental business in the Philippines

Running a property rental business in the Philippines can be worth the investment. I have had a few people ask why I don’t recommend it to some and its simply the fact that if retiring in the Philippines I recommend keeping your “money” where it may be needed for medical expenses.
However this breakdown will show you what it cost me to setup our rentals of the new building. We are also a 100% cash and no loan entity. As such we paid for the building in cash, renovations in cash etc. etc.
So although the building owed us P1.8million in “costs” the same month we purchased I had an offer of P2.2million for the land before we renovated. Currently its worth over P3million and with a steady flow of tenants has started to repay the P1.8m invested.
