In all honesty the easiest plants to grow in a tropical climate seem to be peppers. We had some seeds scattered by cooks during a fiesta only to find a month later around 15 plants had sprouted and are now repotted into containers. That’s one of the things many people forget is that nature was pretty capable of looking after itself before we came along. At the same time growing peppers from scratch would be a good place to start tropical gardening from as it will allow you to see how successful the yields will be without too much effort. As you can see the ones I have here are around 3” in size which is ideal for spicing up the dinner table.
