Getting good children’s toys in Cebu, Philippines

Zoei and slide Most of the toys I come across in Cebu if exported to the UK wouldn’t make it through trading standards. Cheap Chinese plastic junk. Not only unfit for purpose due to breaking easily and components that can become sharp or eaten they are just obviously cheap when you look at them. Zoei’s toys in the photo by the way mainly came from the UK the slide is a branded one I picked up in Toy Kingdom at SM mall but most of the stocks there are hit and miss on quality so look around as often it doesn’t change the price!

I am seriously thinking of getting a box sent from the UK with toys as they have  a low value once kids go off them and they become second hand. Here seems many places give them a wipe and sell them as new at inflated prices.

The other issue I have is I want toys that stimulate the mind and are good for hand eye co-ordination most of the toys I see here just don’t cut it. But doesn’t mean I am giving up infact probably the opposite as I will be hunting around to see what traditional toys can be made for reselling as well as stocking up Zoei’s toy cupboard as there has to be a demand for a lot of goods people just don’t have here. If you don’t know what is available how you going to miss it?

Will take a look. Generally we use SM as its a lot easier to get to for us in the South. But I will be interested to see the quality and get an idea of price comparison.
