Bit of a warning as Mandaue immigration in Cebu are enforcing their dress code at least temporarily. I know at different times of the year they don’t seem bothered but currently they have a guy outside renting out trousers for those wearing shorts (Tropical heat what do they expect people to be wearing?). Anyway one of my tenants came back this morning after parting with P50 to hire a pair of oversized tracksuit bottoms with “Philippines” written on the side of them just to enter immigration for renewal. Obviously those smart looking tracksuit bottoms are a better match to a shirt than the tan military type shorts he was wearing (Smart enough for military uniform but not immigration).
Shoes are also an issue so make sure not to wear flip flops and the same goes for cut off sleeved shirts. Lot of hassle to get to a window just for a renewal of a visa I know but must be someone rattling the cage at the moment making sure people are conforming.
