Boracay can be visited anytime of the year but be aware there are events that are available only at certain times of the year. For example in January Boracay has its internationally famous Kalibo Ati-Atihan Festival, the Philippine mardi gras which is celebrated every third week of January. Also in the same month you have Boracay’s International Funboard Cup and International Paraw Cup Challenge held between January and February. Be aware its also Monsoon season giving some of the strongest winds in the area quickly followed by the relaxing summer months Dry season) in Boracay of March,April and May. Its at this time your in peak tourism time with miles of beautiful sandy beaches, relaxing cool waters and plenty of diving and snorkeling going on. At this time of year the tourism is also local as well as international so expect it to be a busy time to make a great holiday and make new friends. For those shying away from peak season prices head in to Boracay between June, July and September as its regarded as off-peak and many will say is the best time to visit Boracay because of the hotels being the cheapest they will get but also its not over run with holiday makers. October sees the start of peak season and this continues right up into the summer months October, November and December offer cooler air in this tropical climate and a Christmas with a difference. Also worth checking what sporting events are on at this time of year as its a peak time for many sports to be on-going in the area.
